The first video card I bought was as $75 Matrox Mystique 220. I thought that was expensive back then. Last ones I bought were a couple $180 Radeon R9 270X for dogecoin mining in 2014.
Can't imagine paying more than maybe $250 for a video card and for that I'd expect at least a top mid-range one or last year's high-end.
